Industrial electrical design becomes much clearer when the owner or project team shares the right inputs before design starts. The most important information is not only the building plan, but also the expected machine load, utility load and operating pattern. For dedicated support on this, see our industrial plant electrical design consultancy page.

Prepare a machine and utility list
A basic machine list should include equipment names, ratings, quantity, duty pattern, starting requirement and location. Utility loads such as compressors, pumps, HVAC support, material handling, lighting, admin areas and external services should be listed separately so the design basis is traceable.
Connect load planning to distribution
Once the design basis is clear, the consultant can prepare connected load, demand load, transformer and DG planning, SLDs, panel schedules, cable sizing, earthing and lighting layouts. This reduces ambiguity during contractor pricing and site execution because the electrical BOQ can be traced back to the same machine, utility and distribution assumptions.
